I am vociferously passionate about good books. And I hate adverbs.
What a brilliant little book.
I fell into it, and just kept falling. On and on.
Loved the characters. I loved JJ, a sweet and troubled young man. His struggles felt both true and sincere. So many teens grow up to be way worse than JJ, with less baggage. JJ really got to me.
I was totally blindsided by the ending, which could have made for an interesting AH-HA, but it fell a bit flat there. The storyline could have been greatly helped by a little foreshadowing.
Loved the language. Simply loved it.

I was given a free copy of this book from the publisher, Harmony Ink Press, and a positive review wasn’t promised in return.
