"...Sometime I wish I could run an experiment: take a novel, put an unknown name on it and a famous name, then sit back and read reviews as they appear online.
Except I expect I already know what would happen. People would read farther in the Famous Name version, because they are invested in the name, so they expect the story to begin pleasing them.
They don’t give the unknown the same amount of time..."
