I am vociferously passionate about good books. And I hate adverbs.

Book Review - Silent One, by Kari Jo Spear

Silent One -

Not very impressed with this one, it could have been fantastic.

The storyline was fun and different and great. The specific YA setting may have been a bit silly for me, but it's good that there are books out there for teens.

That said, it never really took off on the right foot. It went running this way, and then that way, then it had me being pissed off at the Silent One (who was never very silent at all, was he?) after which there were summary explanations of time travel problems that really didn't go down with me.

I like storylines with defined problems, and ways in which the MCs solve these problems.

Here, there were loads of problems and then just drifting through to the end of the line.Very unsatisfying.

Could have been great.

But then you look at the cover and think maybe it was as good as it could possibly be.
